Tourism is the worst industry in India. States must actively take steps to dissuade it. Most cultured people have left India. Now with the tax free farm income and profits from real estate bubble the dehati crowd are the the tourists. They are like the locusts who invade the area and spread the plague. Goa, Shimla, Dehradun, alibaug, Ladakh, spiti valley, all destroyed. I find spending time in traffic more peace full that visiting the prominent tourist destinations in India.
Taking memories from their trips but leaving behind gutka graffiti all over.

I visited Gokarna and Goa and found the costs to be quite high.
