Vietnam currency is way lower than India. And Goa is touristy place in the time of long weekends, prices bound to increase. It's all game of supply demand.

My two cents from the very recent trip to Vietnam.. Hotel prices are much higher in India compared to Vietnam and it is not justified. Currently, in India you won't find a good room below 4-5k, in any city! While in Vietnam, 1.5-2k rooms were very neat, clean and well decorated. It is maybe swayed due to the high demand in India but not justified at all.

Ho hotel kholo and get into the business. This just means that there is an opportunity in the market. But the caveat is that there is a lot of inefficiencies and cost elements which jack up the prices in India. 28% toh tax hi hai. Uske alawa tumko local police aur politician ko paise bhi toh khilane hai.

This is so true. Goa is getting commercialised too much and accessible to 140 Crore Indians while Vietnam might not be able to attract the same numbers.
Vietnam is providing way better for the price you pay.
Reaching to Phú quoc will 15-20k one way
It's pure economics.
No wonder, Indians are flocking to South East Asia like crazy these days.
These days srilanka, turkey Egypt start making sense over Goa. Will be the case for all tourist destinations soon. Get ready for Indian Indians everywhere

Goa will get better if Desi tourists move elsewhere. I know they bring revenue. But not quality. Most dirty, annoying, rule breakers, loud. Goa dsnt need this. It needs to heal.

So true...Indians have very poor hygiene standards. Even though I don't support what Maldives elected members said coz of their inherent hatred towards "poorer" avg Indian....but we need to admit that it is the truth. We need better sense of hygiene.

This guy has paid partnership with Vietnam?! Converting innocent Indians to shift to Vietnam 😒😒😒

Haha idk him but I do think the price is unreasonable

Don't know the partnership part.. but Indian hotels are over priced.
And I expect them to go up even more as tourism is exploding. Every long weekend is being treated for vacation travel. Every personal time off is being planned on Monday or Friday and vacation is being planned. People no longer consider visiting relatives as a vacation.

This is not inflated and is an incorrect way to look at it. If a hotel price shoots up from 5-15k to 50k then it means all there available rooms are booked and only the presidential suite is remaining which does usually cost 40k+.
That room will also cost similarly in Vietnam. So it's more about availability then inflation
That being said hotel prices in India have gone crazy.

45,000 seems to steep for Radisson Blue. At that price you’ll get a villa at ITC or Taj.

Everything inflated in India!

Checked Radisson for Feb 16-17th. Vietnam showed 8k a night and Goa 9k. It’s fairly stupid to pick one of the busiest weekends in India (long one), compare with Vietnam and say it makes sense to travel. Flight main jaane main aadha din aur 15k lagega. Bangalore main ho toh usi time main gaadi main chale jaoge.
