My thoughts on Goa & Gokarna
I visited Gokarna and Goa and found the costs to be quite high.
In Gokarna, the food is very affordable, but booking accommodations can burn a hole in your pocket—even budget hotels are surprisingly expensive.
In Goa, I felt everything was overpriced. While there are options for budget hotels, the cost of food is significantly high. In fact, almost everything, from items in the markets to activities on the beaches, is expensive—except for liquor, which is relatively cheap. However, I find it pointless to spend so much on necessities just because liquor is affordable.
Comparatively, I enjoyed Gokarna more as it’s less crowded and offers a more peaceful experience. If Goa’s overall costs were brought under control, it would be an even better destination.

True
First of all..It's useless going to Goa during peak periods like.. Christmas and NY, everywhere it will be crowded, you won't get a place to sit and relax. The price will be extremely higher than normal. Temperature is hot during the day time just like summer days. Last year I made a big mistake going in Dec month, got I'll because of the heat and crowd, cancelled my ticket and returned without celebrating New year 3days prior. Except liquor everything has a sky touching price during peak time and normal days as well. Because nowadays foreign visitors are less.. they are making Indians on granted and looting but no proper service. Goa is now not like it was earlier.

Goa is ruined. The plague of tourism is now spread to western coastal karnataka. Sad, it will be destroyed too.

Heard similar things about both. Thanks for confirming
