How are people getting > 20 LPA?

I've had this doubt for a long time. How are people getting > 20 LPA while they have only 2-4 YOE. Is it because they are from tier 1 Universities?

Or they are switching from top companies with a higher current package?.

Or, is it their tech stack, skill or any certifications?

People who are already getting paid a good package with low YOE, share your insights and the reasons that you may think are the reason.

Depends on How important a job is to the company and the company itself. Mine is an Investment Banking and the role is a critical one which is why although I'm from tier 3 college with 2.5 yoe, I'm still paid more than 20.

I see a lot of people with some years of experience earning in the range of 10-15 LPA. At the same time I see people with same experience earning 50-60 LPA. I know switch is one of way to get the package you want and companies don’t give...
