I've heard that Amazon's work environment is super stressful with lots of pressure on deliverables. But why do people call it a toxic culture? I'm genuinely curious and would love to know some specific examples, not just hearsay. Also, I'm not supporting Amazon or anything. Would like to hear about the positives too. After doing an MBA, did you manage to grow in your career and improve your skills at Amazon? Share your experiences and thoughts, please.
I have heard of two people who had a mental breakdown in my circle due to work stress at Amazon. one of these is a brilliant person another a woman and both have previous work experience. So Amazon doesn’t discriminate in work pressure based on skill and gender. Amazon is one company i will not join even if they offer high compensation. Also their 5 day WFO mandate harassing their employees further makes me dislike them
I don’t mean to say that the woman is not brilliant . She is, but the other person is on another level.
don't know how long you've been here, but if not long enough, stick around and you'll find the answers yourself :)) on a side note, hope you haven't joined post your MBA
