Do some research as to what is market average salary range for your targeted role/designation.
In recent times, (post covid scenes from 2022) it is more about setting right expectations in your first salary discussion call with HR, observed this happening mostly during exploratory call before starting interview process. Mostly that number can be negotiated for additional 10% based on how your whole interview process goes.
Secondly if you already hold an offer from other
companies, one can quote the same and negotiations are usually successful in such cases.
Anyone has any stories of negotiating other perks because salary cap for the role was reached?
