Negotiating other perks if salary cannot be increased more

Anyone has any stories of negotiating other perks because salary cap for the role was reached?

Examples I am looking for are

  1. Added allowing moonlighting to employment contract
  2. Made it 4 or 3 working days instead of 5
  3. Negotiated full remote (in a company that typically isn't remote for all employees)

You need to have a really good leverage to be able to go there - maybe if you're very senior, it'll be hard for them to find others like you etc.

Otherwise all the examples you mentioned make it seem like you are not too keen and might backfire :p

I haven't gotten to that point yet. But have a friend who is pretty senior, and they negotiated limited number of days working at an early stage team by a similar logic

So yes, possible, but again in situations where you are really close to the team or have a nice leverage
