Probation extension

I had a mid year check in a month back where I was given a positive review. Now, few days back my probation was supposed to end, my leaves (as a permanent employee) were credited but received no official mail from HR. Now all of a sudden, my manager is telling me that they have decided to extend my probation by 2 months.

Is this a signal? Should I start looking out for new opportunities?
