Manager not allowing WFH on diwali

Is it a good time to fight your manager or go against his/her decision in terms of the job market. Is there any other solution?

You have to understand if this behavior of your manager is consistent or not. If it's a one time thing then try to understand the reason. Otherwise it's time to find a new manager.

HELP ME PLEASE! My manager won't give me a holiday for Diwali 😔

My manager is asking me to be on-call on Diwali and has asked me to report in person. This is absolute stupidity. Although I will be compensated at 2.5x of my hourly pay but I would rather spend time with my family.
