How to deal with Slack Warriors

Co workers and colleagues who seem OK to talk and discuss in person turn passive aggressive and boss around on Slack channels. They use terms like “As discussed multiple times” , “despite mentioning” etc etc and when you talk to them in person everything seems fine and you start wondering why do they push others down in the first place? Is to to show seniors/managers that there’re more superior? How do you deal with such people? Any tips ?

Don't add a tone to their slack messages in your mind. Sensing an undertone on social media is nonsense that's why emojis are so popular

Such people don’t have the balls to face you in person. Remember chat email is a passive communication mode. Best is - sure let’s set up a call and discuss this.

Depends on your manager's attitude.

If he sees this ans ignores then you ignore them and do what you are supposed to do and chill maar.

But if your manager takes it seriously then provide curt response in thier tone and ensure they don't send such msgs again

Just don’t care about them if they’re not delivering / replaceable roles they will be under the radar for sacking. Bosses also observe what’s going on and if they do it to innocent people around they will go down

If what they type is factual, there is nothing wrong with it.
