Got ghosted by the Michael Page HR
I was interviewing with a D2C startup and the recruiter from Michael Page was extremely friendly and helpful till she suddenly ghosted me.
Don't understand why the HR would ignore me completely rather than give a firm Yes/No. Is ghosting a common practice among the likea of MP as well?

Treat this entire game as a business. You sell time, they buy it. Be so good at selling your time that you dont have to expect courtesy. move on if other party is a clown.

What I hate the most is that I invested time in the process. Did well on the questions. And then they dont have the courtesy to tell me a No. Just stopped responding at all.

I can understand what you're feeling. Been there, felt the same. World is opportunistic in nature so is everybody incl the dhd HR who engaged with you. Dont lose hope. Ignore and carry on

Michael Page is the worst.

Michael Page consultants are arrogant and entitled f***s.

Been there. Move on.

Yes. I wont hide, I was mad for a few days. Thought of writing caustic texts but then I realized I am better than that. Thank god. 🙃

Recruitment consultants are not HRs. They are sales guys. They dont care about you once rejected but will keep chasing you till you get selected. Its just business.

They do it very often. The smaller firms are better but you have to realise these recruitment consultants are sales folks, they don't give a damn about you or your career, all they care for are their targets and their commission.
Not to be sexist but they preferentially hire women (you'll find online that women are far more effective salespersons) who speak well and most of these women will talk to you as if you mean the world to them and will not give an eff once the next candidate comes around.
Hell, one lady would call me everyday and send me messages like "Hey, I only want good things for you, you deserve the best, you are so sweet" etc and my friend calls me to tell me that she approached him for the same role which she had been promising to me was in my pocket.
