I'll share a story according to my last experience:
I interviewed for a startup called "Curie Money". The interviewer seemed quite uninterested but proceeded anyways. There were some red flags from the beginning. They did not discuss the interview process, gave a take home straight away - design implementation of a popular payment app. I completed the take home and was handed another take home which was the implementation of a design from their yet to be released app. This signalled some issues to me. I completed the "most challenging" part of their UI and refused to build the rest of the screen because "it was too easy to test any real skill yet very time consuming". I politely told him that I'd already proved my skills by doing two assignments of challenges they were struggling with in their actual app.
Got ghosted, never heard from the interviewer. Felt like he was using my interview to outsource his dev work.
People say they dodged a bullet, I felt like a dodged a mortar.
