Getting ghosted by Talent Acquisition folks on Linkedin

Lately I have been getting a lot of DMs from TA from various companies on linkedin. They would start the conversation with something like “We are really impressed with your profile and work you are doing …” Then they proceed to ask for contact details and resume and then they just vanish out of thin air.

It’s not that I have a bad resume because whenever I start to actively look for a job I get interview calls right away from actual HRs who are hiring.

Is this some shady practice that TA people have been following to build their roster/database for different job roles that they frequently hire for.

happens to me too. so, a lot of recruiters send a mass mail and then stack people based on hiring manager feedback or whatever they do to decide, then don't close the loop with people. The chances of the invite being intentional is very little. Most recruiters don't even go through the profile properly before sending 1st invites. Ask a question before you send your details if they respond then send more details. This way you will know weather the person was intentional about your profile.

Also what's with this stupidity of LinkedIn posts in which they ask to share our resumes in DMs, but they'll keep DMs locked and wouldn't even accept our connection requests to proceed with.

Include emoji in your firstname, and you’ll see how many use automation to send those messages 🤣
