Discuss: Do you work to make money, or does it solve a higher need?

Have always been curious and want to know what people here think. Which side do you lie on? Personally have always felt I work to eventually build something meaningful, to help people at scale.

But also it’s made up stuff that humans do at the end of the day… How do you folks reason? Do you work for the basic needs, or to solve a higher calling?
