<Appraisal> Do salary negotiations work

Is it possible to negotiate for a higher hike during my appraisals? I’ve never done this. Just asking for opinion/advice.

The only correct answer is that it depends. On market conditions, companies cash flows etc.

Speaking from the other side of the table, in present market conditions, it would have not worked if i was your manager. Earlier, we were asked to present a budget plan based on team expansion plan, goals for this year, hikes plan, etc. From the last 2 times, the budgets are given with instructions to operate within it. So, pretty much if I give you something extra, I need to deduct it from the rest of the team. In general, hikes were 10%.

Salary Negotiation??

Discussing salaries can be nerve-wracking, but I think confidence is the key. My 6 Month appraisal was rejected and I recently completed my project successfully at HeyCoach, Can I ask for an appraisal directly now?

Appraisal Problem

I completed 3 months in the organization, and appraisal season started, how to tackel questions of how much hike should I get or ask for?

If I don't ask I will be stuck until like 15 months on same salary. How to deal with it.
