Biggest lesson in life
People who left home early for education and been away for like 10-15 years from families, what was the biggest lesson you learned in life
Covid batch 21, moved to Bangalore, got an apartment with a flatmate, abandoned all old friends, made new friends, made some new best friends. Bitter relations with my sister, long distance relationship, never felt more lonely, didn't do well with the flatmate, depression, therapy, suffocation, suicidal thoughts, adopted a cat, realised nobody is there for you, started drinking, started smoking, started smoking weed, made friends who'd smoke with me, they helped me get out of depression, realised there will be no one for me, nobody cares if I'm alive or not, started cooking, realised smoking can be lethal, trying to quit, learnt how to live alone.
I am much better now. I am happy alone. It's really elevating how happy being alone can be. Now I don't have any expectations from anyone, and I don't care how others play around me. I know I'll be there for myself. I am not dependent on anyone. The cat really helped me a lot. And I'm so grateful for all those people for not being there for me, it really made me the person I am today.
So you are saying you previously had clean lungs and a healthy body and mind & now you are a pathological smoker and have filled your lungs with tar to feel temporary relief from responsibilities.
God works in mysterious ways. What I did with my physical health was wrong. I might have compromised on my physical health for a while, but it gave me some solace which was much needed for my mental health. Now that it's a little better I'm back on track, I'm on my path to quit smoking and drinking. Already one month down.
P.S. I won't recommend anyone else to do the same thing. It's straight up risky and anything can happen.
Hugs and kisses 🤗
