Is it just me or do cooks in metro cities come with their own set of “terms & conditions”? 😅
Mine: - Comes late regularly, but can’t wait 5 minutes if I’m stuck on a call - Cooks only what she feels like, and if you complain, you get a counter-complaint - Any feedback is met with: “This item wasn’t there, that item wasn’t there” - If it’s a new recipe outside her routine, quality drops mysteriously (maybe unintentionally, maybe strategically) - Charges a bomb - Expects festival bonus even when I don’t get one myself - And somehow, all drawbacks are explained as my fault At this point, managing my cook feels like a full-time ops role. Genuine question: 👉 How much is reasonable to pay a cook in a metro city these days, and what should that actually include? Would love to hear real numbers + experiences.
