Wherever I see, cousins, friends, colleagues, no one wants to marry. They don't want to even discuss it and most of my friends or cousins are 30+ years. If this continues It's good I guess for the planet but the fun is lost, rarely any weddings and kids. I see it particularly with guys as compared to girls in general.

For me, the reason is financial instability.
Earning upto 2 lakhs per month feels like nothing in today's time. After taxes, education loan EMI and expenses, one is barely left with anything. On top of that, I have an added responsibility of catering to my parents and need to send the money every month. My savings are a mere 15K per month and I don't think I can get married at this stage. Further, I don't have the bandwidth to have kids.
So I have kind of accepted how my life would be. No marriage. No kids. Slog till I have to take care of my parents. The day I am free from that responsibility, quit the job and start working with an NGO with an aim to make living better in India. Would not want anyone from the future to live life like me and for that, someone needs to be there and drive that change.
My family would be that NGO and all the beneficiaries from that NGO.

Well , that case to women should have given up marriage long time ago , sati , dowry issues , financial supression , huge number of cases of domestic abuse . The laws might be misused now but why did the govt place them to protect women , foolish women . Wonder why they want to get married na. Then in this generation 2-3 men killed themselves ( actually that’s really sad , god give peace to their families ) and morcha chal raha shaadi hi mat karo .
Because at that time they had no option. They were not educated neither skilled enough to earn for themselves. So they had to endure all that.
Now both are educated and self reliant and unless you really find someone good won’t you rather stay free from issues?

India is just screwed up, we have ancient laws but people have progressed a lot and no one is saint coming into a marriage. Have seen my friend life absolutely fcked by this and it was a love marriage lol. Plus lack of stability, pressure of living in Indian cities . I would not want to subject a child to do this.
