Why do companies give perks but not better work life balance?

if you don't like a company, just leave, stop blaming the company for something which is in your control
Left such a company but ended up again in similiar company even though I mentioned I want WLB so no switch is not a problem solver everytime.
Because they want you to do more work simple. Company wants you to work harder and employees want to work less. Equilibrium law
