Zamindaari mentality. We have loved under slavery conditions for way too long . To change that mindset, it going to take some time.

My last US based MNC, there will be a cafeteria, where coffee mugs will be placed at a counter. Everyone from the VP/region head to lowest office level employees has the access. They all pick up from the same point and drink and when done place it in the cleaning machine. The same company in india has a seperate porcelain coffe cup/saucer for the india VP. His coffe is served at his desk and some one picka it up when done.

I have seen CEos fetch their water in the US. Has you seen a VP go and get his water bottle?

Not possible in an environment where the supply of labour is much more than its demand.

Not all Genz’s are the way they are portrayed in the media. All entitled Genz’s are going to end up in poverty, very few will become rich, (in proportion to the total population). These dynamics have played out in every generation, genz is no different.

No one really knows

But it’s likely because there’s a general feeling in India that everyone is Kaam chor
India is touted as a low trust society sadly

Its because they were kaam chor in their time so they think we are the same.

In my last company, I was asked to track my working hours. Despite this, they made me work over the weekends regularly.

After a month, I decided to leave the job as I couldn’t handle it anymore. Fortunately, during my notice period, I managed to secure 2–3 job interviews and received a good offer to consider.

As a product-based software engineer, I cannot tolerate a culture of exploitation where I’m questioned about how many hours I’m putting in.

Sadistically the number of hours are like indicator and is the metric which management track the performance again which is non realistic analysis

Indian employees are majorly poor at both time management as well as being trustworthy.

Pay them for their worth and time, and then see the trust they bestow upon you. Taking 6days a week for long hours and paying measly , what do you expect ? They will switch, do less obviously.

Having an Indian client is the highest level of torture.
I work with us clients and they are legit so understanding, not all of em but most of em.
They need the work to be done nicely, and here we are focusing on 3 days work from office. No wonder everyone is trying to leave this place.

They need more dumb people below them so that their jobs remain safe

It is like a cheap labour mentality.. those who has not done any quality work and pushed for managerial role generally do these types of cheap stunts to show their usefulness because as per the trend to save your job.. their manager who are either Horse or Donkey ..they more dumb people below him so that he can not be replaced...
