What's the best work advice you can give someone in their twenties?

According to me, give up long term gains over short term gains. Live your life to the fullest. Don't waste your time in libraries studying. Fuck garbage like, “you need to be patient”. I was trading stocks at the age of 17, while working as a newspaper boy. My boss, somewhere in his 40s told me, what do you know about trading stocks?

What a dickhead. Don't hold yourself back because your parents, family, girlfriend or teacher says “you are not ready”. Fuck that man.

Your body, generally, is extremely strong between your 20s-30s. Enjoy your life 100%. Above and beyond. Travel, meet people, go out of your comfort zone. This will make you versatile, adaptable, these memories will last with you forever.

If you don't build up social skills between 20–30, it will be fucking hard to build it up later in life.

Don't wait.

I was working in a bank in London, in my mid 20s, and I wanted to work in the US. My boss didn't allow me. Fuck him. I went to the regional director of the US office, arranged all the bureaucracy which was required for me to work there, I took holiday in London and went to New York to work during my holiday. They loved me over there.

My boss in London was flabbergasted. The guy in the US told my boss to rewind my holidays and give them back.

When you think today.. am I ready for this? Just fucking go for it. If you don't try today, you might never try. It's better to fail 999 times and succeed once, than never having tried ever..
