I'm in late 20's now.

To my bro's in their early 20's:

"Please priorities your fitness. Aim to establish a routine and get into a shape you yourself are comfortable with and proud of."

Thank you, this is something I’ve been working on. Do some physical activity, and prioritize healthy eatings!

I feel you bro 🥲.

Also to bois in their early 20s :
This right here is the MOST important thing. Doesn't matter if you are single, have no lover, gf or anything. I realised this only after I hit my late late 20s and mental and physical health problems started to creep in.
In this fast paced ever changing world that we live in, having a dedicated time to take care of yourself is very very VERY important. Trust me, once you cross 25, there's gonna be so many responsibilities (unless you are born with a silver spoon or something better), that eventually, you'll have zero motivation to make time to take care of yourself.

Do not ignore your looks and get a girl friend before 26.

Girls who are into arranged marriage have a very corrupted soul because of influence of family and who not. Their worth doesn't even remotely match their expectations but their ego is mountainous. Atleast if a girl likes the shyt guy in you maybe she likes it for herself atleast primarily and not for money status etc. In arrange marriage money status becomes primary, self well I have seen none of them have self anymore😅

This is deep, and I understood it on the third read!

If you want to get married, Do it early( around 26-28 ) and have a kid around 30-31. Do NOT delay marriage and having kids.

Start investing from your first salary and become financially successful as early as you can.

How would you define "financial success"?

QuirkyCupcake
QuirkyCupcake

It is subjective and varies from person to person. Financial success is the ability to attain a comfortable life having ample wealth/ investments and with a managed debt.

Many feel like smoking makes them cool. It just damages lungs.

Drinking I do, rarely when there is some party like farewell, or other offices type. But smoking I can’t tolerate!

Play the long game, don't think of1-2 years.

Start small sips don't touch them

Get term and health insurance cheap at early twenty. Lock that price.

Have balanced life, gf, career, travel. Skewing it is not fun as every stage has its own pros and cons.

  • Find a good boss to work with, even if it is your father in the family business. But find someone you genuinely can learn from.
  • Work your ass of but also chill a bit every now and then. Enjoy the youth as long as you can.
  • Build relationships that can last a lifetime. The future is going to be lonelier.
  • Marriage is life’s most important project, work on it for 3-4 years atleast.
  • Do not get into debt. Ideally try to grow your wealth but even if you are not a savings kinda person, just make sure you don’t get into debt.
  • Definition of success is different for everyone, just try to find a definition for yourself and keep working towards it.

I’ve observed one thing in common, is that get married. Did I slept through the changes in the world, sometime ago many were opting for non married life! It’s cool tho.

WigglyPanda
WigglyPanda

I think people have realised that it was a fad. Marriage as an institution is beautiful and has a profound impact (both negative & positive) in your life. Just like how a good coach or a good teammate.

Practically, I think the idea of not marrying was considered cool because earlier in India, marriage meant an end to your own freedom or lifestyle. With urbanisation, new age couples do not have to sacrifice anything and still be married. So it’s a win win.
