What to do after UG?

I am currently an ug student at Christ university pursuing BBA. I have a lot of confusion in my mind whether I should go for an MBA or look for a job first. I know MBA id only worth it from Tier-1 college but is my 1 year of effort preparing of CAT/GMAT worth it? What if I learn something useful in a span of a year/ try to build something?

My end goal in life is entrepreneurship only because that’s where real wealth creation is ig. My dad has his family business but I dont want to join in directly. For that I would need to show him that in some years I can build something of my own, else my last option will to join it only.

Do you think that dedicating a year to exam preparation is worth it or should I develop some skills and try to work in some startup after college to see how businesses are built?

I know this is a long and very subjective question but would love to have your views.

Unless it is not aligning with your interests I don’t see any reason why you should not go and work with your father.

I have interest in it. But don’t you think that one must figure something out on their own? Instead of going to one’s family business

You’ve got clarity on the end goal, entrepreneurship, and that’s already a huge win. Before committing a year to CAT/GMAT, spend 6–12 months in a startup, learn how real businesses run, and build street-smart skills. Through Hiked, you can connect 1:1 with founders and early-stage operators who’ve actually walked this path. Why guess the next move when you can learn it from someone who’s already built their own thing?
