As the title suggests, I want to break into FAANG and companies like Uber, Walmart, MSFT and the likes but unable to do so.
A bit about me:
BITS Pilani 2021 grad. I have ~3 YOE as a PM, 2 years at a major ecommerce unicorn and now, I'm at a relatively mid series C startup. I had to quit that unicorn because of toxicity and health issues, I still kind of regret it.
For my next move, which I'm planning in the next 2 years, I want to get into FAANG+ companies, but I'm afraid that since I'm not working at a company like Swiggy/Flipkart or a company of equivalent brand value, I won't be able to make it even past the resume screening.
What should I do from here? Is it impossible for me to get into the companies I have mentioned?
The way you do it is you get to progressively better companies slowly over time. Example: SBC > Seed Product Startup > Series A/B/C Product role > grind a few years and wait for startup to get big > Join FAANG quivalent and get that sweet sweet money
I understand that you already have a college tag but are you also thinking of an MBA by any chance?
Your college brand is good + unicorn and series C also sounds nice. I don't think you'd have a problem atleast in screening round
