There's no fixed hours at my job, now the boss and team wants me to work the entire day.

Start work at around 10 and complete it around 7.

Yet, I had a performance review with my boss saying that the others feel that I am not putting in a lot of hours and he wants me to put in more hours to become good at sales.

This is my first job. No mentors or anything. Just learning from youtube, hence learning curve is a bit slow.

It's an early stage B2B startup and the boss wants every employee to work 12+ hours a day.

Is working these many longer hours, especially remote, normal in Indian Startups only? Or is it the same around the world?

P.S.: I don't like the job, btw. Hence prolly feels like dragging a lot of weight. Will switch in coming months.
