Reservation wasn't meant to make people rich, it was brought in to reduce the discrimination they faced. It isn't foolproof and politicians currently exploit it without giving a damn about the people.
It's appalling to see how some privileged people think.

It's because the discrimination still exists that we cannot remove reservation.
It's very easy to be on the high horse not knowing the reality of caste discrimination when we come from privileged backgrounds(money or caste)
It's entirely different case when we are the ones facing the discrimination!
Does reservation currently solve caste discrimination? No, we should also move away from associating our identities to our castes(very shallow mindset)
Do we need reservation? Yes, until caste discrimination exists
Should there be guard rails to not let politicians exploit it? Definitely, reservation should be only a percentage of anything. It could be either given for studies or for jobs.
