This is Founders Fund investing, Peter Thiels fund they don't even invest actively in crypto.
FYI google which other Indian company or Indian founder led company has received funding from Founders Fund. It will be an extremely short list.

If you've had the kind of valuation success polygon had VCs will give you money, because the next guy to come along will help them liquidate some of their investment. A lot comes down to the founders ability to fundraise and this guys proven it. Real businesses and all come much later.
