Why - It was a Lala company in simple words. No Hikes, no promotions for 2 years. Prepared a simple Portfolio with figma decks instead of fancy website. Interview calls started to come after like 20-30 days of applying. Gave an interview at almost 15 orgs (small & big). The notice period ended but I didn't panic. Finally received a good offer from an MnC (49 Base, 7 bonus, stocks separate).
Don't settle. Take that leap of faith. Make that portfolio, work on communication skills. (Also, avoid Indian startups as a UX designer).
Also, what was your previous base salary. Want to understand how much % hike companies give.
