Pronto - What’s the appeal?

Did some digging on Pronto CEO - Her dad (or fatherly relative)’s a billionaire in US - Proper living the American dream - There are a number of forbes articles on him.

Was curious - For a girl who’s been born and brought up in the States, to come to India and enter Quick Services space? What’s the appeal for her? It’s not like she relates to India or has faced any of the experiences that an Indian consumer faces

Also - How do VCs get comfort to fund such founders? Has there been a successful founder in India who was born rich and still made it large? (Apart from Anant Ambani ofc) Don’t VCs do pattern matching? Which pattern did Pronto’s founder match?

Don't these Indian billionaires just fly out Indian servants with em, take their passports, trap em in their mansion & just deposit meagre amounts in their Indian bank accounts?
That's what she'd have believed to be the norm growing up

I think the appeal might be to be seen as an entrepreneur and thot leader than just a rich kid. Raj Shamani is one of those.
