Overworked!

Hi everyone, I'm a BTech 4th year student interning at a company.

They first made me sign a bond of 18 months starting from the internship period.(nov 2022)

Firstly they asked me to learn .NET framework completely and so I did within 2 months.

My role is supposed to be .Net developer, but now they are making me work for almost 15 hrs a day doing copy paste work of SQL statements and it's really tiring. (4,83,000 lines)

How do I quit this uninteresting job?

  1. Stop giving your 100% and start underperforming

  2. Don't work 15hrs a day, just work for the time specified in your contract. Make any random dumb excuse whenever someone forces you to go overboard.

  3. Start looking for new internships immediately.

  4. They'll have to eventually fire you and then you can easily switch to another internship. This is assuming you won't have to pay the bond amount if THEY let you go (I dunno how bonds work, so correct me if I'm wrong)

  5. Even if they don't fire you, you won't be overworked & still get paid. You're getting paid for this internship right....?

Yeah I am getting paid around 15K PM and as of now they haven't mentioned any bond amount or anything.

It's a scam. Just quit and write the intership in CV. No one in history has ever done a background check on interships unless you quoting Faang. And try finding better jobs. And stop doing .net

Oh god that is just brutal. A 18 month bond makes no sense! You should try to get out of this situation as this does not look like ‘gainful employment’ at all

Bonds usually start after you complete your internship & get converted to FTE. If they are starting from the internship itself, then it must be a shitty company.

Search job/internship elsewhere, dont worry about bond. Only thing they can do is not provide releaving or internship letter. Thats it
