How to deal with a manager who instructs every bit of your work, takes technical decisions on their own without any consultation with the team, tries to breath down everyone’s necks, follows daily deadlines, work checkins 3 times in a day, irrespective of jira being in place, does not appreciate work, tries to eat credit and cries foul for smallest of issues?

Exactly 💯 I have seen lady manager doing micro management all the time. I can say from my observation from different projects and company. Some do more some less.

Give them micro details of the project everytime they ask, sometimes even without them asking.

Randomly pick up things from the updates you had given them, check if they remember it. If they do, well and good. If they don't, they will back off.

If they micromanage, you annoy them with microdetails till they stop
