Low hike this year

I heard form my senior that the new joiner gets around 70- 80 percent hike but this year they provide hike between 10-15. Why is that? They are saying that the company is doing great.

HCL hike 2024

I heard HCL has announced a 7% hike for October 2024. Is it good? Are the employees happy with their raise?
