One of my flatmate who was in tech also got affected . He used to work day and night and still got laid off. This company doesn’t have any work ethics and morals, moreover the leadership here sucks. Such a pathetic culture in this shit organisation. Incompetent managers makes it worse, this was bound to happen.

Till now more than 90 people have been affected

Over pay and then layoff when they deem necessary.. lose lose situation for both parties.
