Everyone is jumping for higher salary because they're supposed to - as potentially expenses increases over time over an individual's life cycle.
I was new to my role , had some experience already, and now 2.5 years later I'm an expert in this role ...and I'm feeling the pressure of "switching" for better pay and learning and growth because otherwise I'm stagnated in this role in this company.
My CTC right now was once upon a time my aspiration but now it's on the lower average side for my years of experience.
But wasn't the point of work to find a place where you can work for a long long time and make decent money - I like the role , the bosses , the flexibility etc. But the organization size is small and there genuinely isn't much steep growth path ahead.
I am ambitious and I would like a bigger role in a different company at some point of time in my life but right now everything is settled here and is fine...except the learning / growth/ salary is now stagnated for the next ~12 months or so.
I'm confused about staying or switching.
If everything is good, and if you want to take blue pill for sometime then it’s alright. Go remote. Travel a bit.
Once you’re recharged then go for a switch. I did something similar. Fluctuate between blue pill and red pill.
Whenever I am in such situation, I make a list of pros, cons of both staying and switching. Then I go through points and figure out based on what matters to me most right now, what should I do with the pros and cons list, and make a decision!
I was in the exact same situation.
I knew there wasn't any growth for me, but still I was reluctant to switch. But then I realised I was comfortable in my comfort zone, and to change that is scary.
But as you already know you won't grow if you are still there. And at the early stages of a career, it's important to learn as much as possible. Plus if you know you are worth more than your current CTC then why not take a more exponential growth route that also pays you more!?
And then I made the switch. Now getting much more than the market average.
Remember, comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there. Great things happen at then end of the comfort zone.

I started my career in a European Fortune 500 MNC. Everyone who joined there, thought that their life is set and they would retire from that company. 4 years down the line, a majority were laid off. The mindset of working in one company for a long long time might not be pragmatic, because hardly any company knows what will happen next year, let alone several years down the line.
If you can find a better opportunity, take it

When you get comfortable, it's the time to move otherwise you'll never grow.

You will like your role and bosses only as long as there is little pressure from their bosses or investors. Chasing money is a never ending loop. You can't find fulfilment in job no matter which industry you work in. If someone does, she is deluded for sure and that'll break sooner or later. Fulfilment if at all would come from your personal life and family. If you think everything is fine, just stay on and enjoy it as long as it lasts. You won't be lucky later to get a second chance at peace.
Stepping out of the comfort zone takes courage and keeps you moving.
Dudes, you want high pay and growth in an established company. It takes more time, if you want growth join a startup like mine or with average pay for a few months.
