Founder's Office - Worth it for Experienced folks?

Are the Lead - Founder's Office/Chief of Strategy roles worth it for someone with 9y experience in Business Operations? What can be suitable exit options here?

Depends on the size of the startup, bigger the startup the more experience the Chief of Staff needs. Exit opps are vertical P&L ownership, VC & product

TL;DR - No. Would say better create a niche than going for CoS roles so late in the career.. esp if you don’t like being a band aid.. Ruchi and Elad Gil interview reference.
Been CoS for 3 years right after college. It’s good but you feel hollow at times.. no direct authority, no KPIs. People around you don’t know what you do. You do a lot, but honestly, even in a few interviews you can’t justify what you did.

Really depends on the startup and the maturity/experience that the founders bring to the table. You are either in a lead position and will have some say(ownership) by gaining insights into how the machine(startup) works or you will be a glorified assistant to co-ordinate with various teams.

It's only recently that the founders office is becoming a popular concept in India. So unless the founders are coming with a global experience, it should be a hard NO.
