The problem they are trying to solve is exciting but there is lack of strategy and focus.

Anything that an employee could do to help ?

If they are open minded and can listen to you, be honest with them. If they're arrogant assholes , just leave because no amount of explaining would get through their ego.

Yeah that's the case - they don't tend to listen at all .

How is the culture:

  • if anyone resigns, they are fired immediately
  • they can't articulate strategy, want to build everything
  • mind games on employees
