Do not support this at all!!

This will be actually a disadvantage to all women out there, company will prefer less those who are newly married or planning to have a kid.

I don't think anyone wants 2 years leave but provide support like WFH, flexible schedule, child care, etc.

What's your view??

Great laws but not for country that is highest populated.
People will use these to get more kids and less work, opposite of what India needs

People would simply stop hiring women. These laws are mainly implemented only in government jobs.

This is only for government employees and as matter of fact 1 year childcare leave is already there is some states. This leave is loss of pay leave, its just you have a job when you comeback. Not applicable and binding to private sector as of now

This whole thing reached supreme court because of a case in police department of Uttarakhand government. The issue took a bigger turn after that

This thing should come with caveats:

If a woman is joining an org, they should disclose it during an interview. And the enters should have a right to hire/not hire based on the disclosure. A corner case: say a 3 month pregnant woman joins a company, does nothing for four months, and then traces a maternity leave for two years. That’s akin to grifting.

Agree.

Instead of giving away leaves like this. Our work environment in any country should be parental friendly and should provide flexibility overall. Taking care of children is not just giving birth, its a life long journey. (Also future of country).

Because of private company policy if the Legislative and Judiciary start changing its own policy then India will be colonized again. Mind it. It's not the company which runs India now, it ended 150 Years ago. Govt Policy should be for national interest and people friendly. If any company has any issues with the Govt Policy they're free to leave India. Already it has been happening for many sectors and it should happen.

Now, apparently in many interviews when she reached the final few rounds, the HR or the Hiring Manag...
