Do companies really work on engagement surveys?

I doubt companies actually work on it. It's seems to be merely a eyewash.

Well, yes and no.

I have seen some leaders taking these surveys very seriously and rolling out an action plan. The problem lies in the execution of this action plan, which these guys completely mess up.

Other times itโ€™s about making it look like an open, free & fair process but seeking the feedback worded with politically correct sentences.

Being a People Analytics professional, I can assure you that a lot of it is taken up and prioritised. Atleast at Swiggy it does.

HR Thrusts are to a large extent influenced by the employee feedbacks

It shows intent to listen. Generally companies who do such surveys have the right intent..however whether any action plan is put in place and actual impact is made on the ground is a separate issue.

Even if one or two decisions are taken at the top level quickly because of the overwhelming majority in the survey - it's a win..
