Counter Offer Negotiation Tips

I have two offers in my hand. I want to counter offer in my current company. I have performed very well last year, and the project has some dependency on me. Any negotiation tips?

Only tip I can give you is “Never accept a counter offer from you existing company” Use the counter offer to negotiate the current offers. If you accept the counter offer, you manager will mark you as flight risk and first thing he/she will do is to remove the project’s dependency from you by involving others.

Did you ask your manager for a hike before all of this? Did they try to give hike or just downright rejected it? Is pay the only problem at this company? Are you happy with everything else?

In MNCs they outright reject/give false promises on the hike discussions. that's why I got other offers so that I will have baseline and bargaining power. yes everything else is good, but I feel I deserve more.
