Convince manager to give release

How do i convince my manager to give release from current project if it is giving me too much mental pressure?

Ask them 1/ how long will the project last? If it’s 2/3 mos more then you put in the hours and get done with it 2/ if it’s on higher side, ask them can you reduce the hours, so that you can find some other projects. If the manger has few more projects then and if it looks interesting then definitely ask them to consider you for that. 3/ if not, then start talking to other project leaders, and if you find something exciting then start aligning managers to give you a smooth transition. Best time to do it will be at the beginning of financial year. In ey’s case it would be now?

actually it is a long project which is going to go till next year. for ey july is end of the fiscal year
