Conducting an interview

All of you here, if you are interviewing somebody, please have the courtesy to

  1. Switch on the camera
  2. Take the first 2-3 mins to introduce yourself and set up a calm environment.

People would already be nervous and especially given people are unemployed, we are pressurized to crack it. Never please have the "I'm the interviewer" tone. It scares us and we forget/unable to think well.

I had my final interview (current org) where my now boss kept her video off, I asked her if this is how she wants so I could switch off too. She replied, it is upto you.
We could have had a phone call interview better than this.

Now I think the red flags were there, I wore rose tinted glasses

I had given my interview for companies like FIS, Avali solutions, and trust me I felt like I have committed some crime and they are questioning me for that
But, The time I gave an interview in Accenture, whatever steps you have highlighted here, I didn't think so he missed to follow something, and see Here I am working in Accenture from almost 2 yrs Because I feel that the interviewer made me confident. BTW thanks for sharing this, it might be small invaluable points for interviewers but for candidates it means a lot
