I have been thinking about this for a while now, we all have tech/non-tech skills which could be utilised to solve each other's or social problems which you relate to.
Of course this is not for everyone, might be more suitable for people who have some time to contribute (doesn't matter how much), interested in working on some side projects, passionate about at least one social issue, having a boring life (not mandatory :P) etc.
