a woman-led mental health startup asked me to learn reel-editing over the weekend
a mental health startup offered me 30k to be their “content writer”
then asked if i could use the weekend to learn reel editing.
a mental health startup.
whose entire pitch is “we understand burnout, we understand being overwhelmed, we understand what it feels like to not get the support you need.” the dissonance is genuinely staggering.
you’re building a product for people who are exhausted and under-resourced — and your hiring strategy is to find one exhausted, under-resourced person and call it a team.
30k. content writer. reel editor. weekend learner.
therapy is expensive guys. no wonder.

Therapy is a scam. Its western nonsense, being shoved into our throats.
People who couldn't become doctors become dentists, people who couldn't become dentists and are currently unemployed become counsellors/ therapists.

Did a 12 year old write this?

i’m sorry that was not the message here. therapy really works for a certain lot of people. it has genuinely worked for me personally. that being said, i empathise with you, i see where you’re coming from. therapy was adopted by the western culture before us yes, correct. but that doesn’t make it westernised. in that sense, if wine is french and some people in india dont have a taste for it, will you hate it? no right. wine is great. therapy is good too. indian, western doesnt matter. everyone, every now and then can feel a little too much, and talking can help some of them, if not all. therapy is for all human beings.
