Role Overview
MontyCloud is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Python programming and extensive experience in AWS services. In this role, you will take ownership of critical modules within our cloud management platform, driving innovation through serverless and event-driven architecture design. If you’re passionate about building scalable and efficient cloud solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance specific modules of our cloud management platform, ensuring they meet high standards for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Design and implement serverless applications and event-driven systems that integrate seamlessly with AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and implement advanced features aligned with our business goals.
- Provide technical guidance and promote best practices in cloud architecture and software development.
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate cutting-edge technologies into our platform development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, offering advanced support and guidance to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
What We Look For
Skills:
- Proven expertise in serverless development and event-driven architecture design, particularly within AWS environments.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in platform or application development with a strong emphasis on Python programming.
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS services including Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in developing and integrating RESTful APIs with source control systems such as Git.
Qualifications
- Required Experience:
- 6 years of relevant experience in platform or application development.
- 1+ years of experience with Serverless Architecture, Microservices Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, AWS service integration, and the AWS Boto3 SDK for Python.
- Bonus Points:
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or equivalent).
- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
