What is Sarvam AI?
Sarvam is building a 'sovereign' full-stack AI for India, featuring 'Sarvam-1' (2B parameter Indic model) and 'Sarvam Edge' for on-device, offline processing. Their suite includes Bulbul (voice), Sarvam Vision (document intelligence), and Akshar, a workbench for high-precision knowledge extraction.
You'll be a good fit if you have
- 4–7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on Python and backend system development.
- Proven ability to work directly with enterprise customers, solving high-stakes, complex problems.
- Hands-on experience with system design and cloud deployments (AWS or GCP).
- Capability to thrive in challenging, rapidly evolving startup environments.
- Preferred experience in AI deployment, including putting large language models (LLMs) into production and building data-rich systems using vector databases or knowledge graphs.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Architecture:
- Lead technical discovery sessions with client stakeholders to map out legacy workflows and pinpoint high-ROI opportunities for incorporating Generative AI.
- Design robust technical architectures that translate business pain points into effective, scalable solutions for both pre-sales demos and post-sales implementations.
- Rapid Prototyping & Productionization:
- Develop full-stack systems—from backend services in Python and front-end components to intricate enterprise integrations.
- Oversee cloud deployments on AWS or GCP, ensuring systems meet stringent enterprise standards for security, compliance, and high availability.
- AI & Intelligent Systems Integration:
- Implement cutting-edge Indic LLM workflows, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and knowledge systems tailored to diverse Indian languages.
- Build automated data pipelines for document processing, document ingestion, and feeding data into vector databases or knowledge graphs.
- Design observability frameworks to evaluate model performance and optimize system responsiveness based on real-world feedback.
- Technical Leadership:
- Serve as the bridge between client requirements and Sarvam’s internal Product/Research teams, ensuring that client feedback directly shapes our product roadmap.
- Mentor junior software developers, maintaining high engineering standards across various customer accounts.
