Wish, I was like the cool kids
how do you guys actually make friends online?
i see people on here and on twitter making real connections—getting referrals, finding co-founders, collaborating, even just having people who hype them up regularly.
and i’m over here struggling to even keep in touch with old classmates or ex-colleagues.
offline, i already find it hard to maintain friendships. but online? it feels even more confusing.
Making friends had never been easy for me, even as a kid Most of my friendships till school have been point to point, nothing like they show on screen
Unable to figure out, how do you go from replying to someone’s post to actually becoming friends? do you slide into DMs? follow up after a few comments? how do you keep talking without feeling like you’re being annoying?
also—do you share personal stuff with people you’ve never met? like struggles, imposter syndrome, all that? is that normal or just too much?
i wanna get past the whole “hey!” on LinkedIn and actually connect with people in a real way.
if you’ve cracked the code even a little, please share. or at least tell me i’m not the only one who’s still figuring it out.

Basically, you've written the story of my life. Everything is relatable, every question is unanswered. I still find it hard to make "friends". So yeah, you're not alone. And for this song, I heard it 8 years ago and it made me cry, just like it's gonna do now.
