Why do we still live in Delhi?

I know Delhi often gets a bad rap—be it for safety concerns, pollution, civic issues, or the soaring cost of housing. And honestly, I share the frustration, especially when I see online forums and vlogs by foreigners that focus solely on the city's shortcomings—highlighting the filth, the chaos, the lack of civic sense.

As someone who's educated and aware, there are times I genuinely feel the pull to move to a quieter, more balanced place—maybe a tier-2 city like Indore or somewhere in the Himalayas. But let’s face it, making that shift is easier said than done, especially when it comes to getting our families on board.

That said, I know Delhi still has its charm—its energy, opportunities, and cultural richness. But I’m curious: what keeps you here, despite the chaos? What’s your lens on this city?

Any suggestions on how we can fix the cleanliness in public places and civic sense in our people!

I live here because all my family & relatives are here. Your hometown is not just a physical location. It's the place where you have your deepest roots and connections.

City dwellers have no skill. Especially, White collar workers in cities. Having been in a crowded place for long, they can't handle silence. That's why, even when living in a shitty place like T1 city, they refuse to go back to a village /town. They do not know what to do with time.

One may have heard/even seen a blue collar worker relocate back to his village, but never a white collar worker. Salaried employment is a mouse trap. We walk in the piece of food and the shutter closes once we enter.

Honestly my hometown is in haryana, but living in city for so long you just start getting bored in villages, we have all the facilities here and lot of things to do, in our hometown we also don't have good facilities like 24*7 electricity which is a basic need now a days Maybe becoming a nomad every once in a while makes sense!
