Why do most girls on dating apps expect a guy to have a car?
I mean for real I have seen most of the prompts such as “Take me on a long drive” , “I’d fall for you if you own a car”. Even my personal experience- I once went on a date(it was a normal date so she had worn jeans and crop top only which i assume is pretty comfortable dress)and told her that I’ll pick her up but didnt tell her if it was car or scooty. The moment she met me and saw me on scooty her expression changed, and then after the date I came home just to see I was unmatched lol.
Now when I get match, I directly tell them I don’t have a car. Many girls unmatch instantly, few who don’t are the green flags fr.
I am 24 salaried IT professional and these idiots expect us to own a car at this age as if we got lots of generational wealth.
I just have one question to such girls - What have you even achieved in life? Look at yourself. Would you be even able to afford a stable lifestyle? rather than dwelling on father’s money.

Dating apps work fine. Don’t listen to these naysayers.
But I think going in a scooty is just telling her you’re too poor for a cab or a car. Don’t take your scooty. Just go in a cab. And don’t mention anything about not having a car in your conversations.
That being said, dating apps are hard on a 24yo guy. I started getting quality matches at 28. I was skinny and poor at 24. Hit the gym, grew out my beard by 28. Then the matches flowed in. So just focus on yourself, get great pics and build up your profile in the next couple of years. Go on solo trips and talk to random women. Build up that confidence so that when you start getting good matches, you convert asap

Bhai a dating app is the breeding grounds for money hogs. Go socialise, better and genuine people out there.
Dating apps is a lost battle from day one.

For someone in the 22-24 year age bracket, they are straight out of college and still haven't experienced the world. They probably think hardwork is rewarded, working as salaried employee is a career. Their expectations are also juvenile. Most 24 yr old men would also have expectations to marry some one like deepika padukone. This is normal.
IMO, any 22 yo woman who doesn't expect her date to have own house , car and earn high 6 digit salary is heartless. And any 30+yo, who still has same expectations, is brainless. Same logic is applicable for men too.

A car is still a signal for wealth in India. In a status driven society like ours signalling wealth opens a lot of doors for you. Women love that.
You may not like it but it is what it is. The game is rigged and the only way to win is by not playing.

Dude why are you even frustrated in the first place? Ignore them and move on....car is needed when you are married for emergency or private travelling with kids....think about the future....everyone in life dream of being on top...it is such that girls get so many atyention which raises the false expectations and standards, no offence but there are genuine people who non marerialistic too....u need to find them

dating is hard for both genders , and rejection hurts both ways . If you are getting unmatched for not having a car women are also getting unmatched for a lot of reasons . May tell them upfront you don’t have a car , atleast the one you date comes willingly and happy to meet you ? It’s not about being mean it’s all the rich tall handsome generalised stuff fed to women via movies , books and social media until they become mature and realistic , they are not being mean or greedy they are just perhaps stupid and unrealistic. Some might be actually from a wealthy family , perhaps you match with women who look like they have a expensive lifestyle and you feel betrayed and so do they cause they assume their look said it all that they want a guy with a car .

Car is no more a signal of wealth, anyone can buy today with a loan. Reason must be something else but for sure it's not a car

Because they don't have one.

Should've went in a cab
