Who are the actual middle class in india?is there a metric?

if you complain against the people who wear suits in India, then you are middle class. If you complain against all people, but think politicians will help you, then you are the poor class.

Middle class is not data defined / metric. Middle class is a state of mind.

Absolutely anyone can be middle class.

I have a neighbour who's now in his early 70s, kids married and settled in the US. Net-worth is mid four digit thousand crs. Stays in the rent controlled 2 BHK apartment inherited from his father. Owns a Creta. Donates a pile of money every year. Lives a comfortable (& not extravagant) life. Middle class.

My take: You are middle class if you your household income per person is less than 1 lakh a month. If you earn 5 lakhs a month and have 6 humans to feed, you’re middle class.. lower middle class and upper middle class is subjective

Actual middle class is when you feel you're making good money but there's always a cash crunch

In college if u r family income under 8 lpa then u can apply for economically weaker section quota

When you sit idle and spend whatever you earn in a year or max of three years, you're in middle class category

I think For 90% of India middle class is 20k monthly household income, For the rest the figure could be prolly 200k monthly income.
