Which fixed-income assets to invest for short term?

Bank FDs don’t go beyond 8% for a year and then we pay a good amount of tax on this. Are there any better avenues to invest for short term? (up to a year).

Good option. I’ve been using them for some time. Looking for relatively more risk and return, north of 11-12%

Try arbitrage funds for >1year <2years. Treated as equity and returns should be decent. LTCG benefit. Upto 1L tax exempt per fin year.
